6 weeks (Sat) to our wedding, and STILL haven't seen my dress! - UPDATED!!!

I keep calling Flowerama, and they still have no updates for me other than that it's en route. I don't know what to do about this anymore. Don't know if I should be a ***** about it (which I'm not), and demand to be compensated for my situation, or make a big stink about it being their mistake, or just wait.

Argh..... *sigh*

I have no idea what to tell you to do. Do they have ANY idea when it should arrive? When did you order it? I feel terrible for you!

Don't make a big stink until your dress comes in, at least.... you don't want to make the situation worse by pissing off the people that have to get the gown to you!

I'm so sorry you are dealing with this. I know it will all work somehow so hang in there!

But I don't think you should go and raise he!! or be a major b!!ch until after it has come in..if they are really rude and mean people, they will hold it back if you are real nasty. And you don't want that.

Maybe you should take it somewhere else to get altered.

Hb, yea, we (the girls' dresses aren't in either) went to the one in Elmont.

BCTM, honestly, I have NO idea. Everytime I call, they give me an approx date, and then when I call on that date, it's STILL not there. Mind you, I placed the order for my dress in FEBRUARY!

Stacey04, you bring a good point. They haven't been rude to me at all. Just a little misleading with when the dress will come in. I guess that it would help if they apologized, instead of blame the factory, ya know?
But I wouldn't know where I could get it altered.

I know BM's dresses are different then Brides, but my sister's went for her 1st fitting last thursday and they said she can go for her second fitting/or to make sure its right the first time 3-5 days later b/c she's from OOT.

I know you are worried that your dress will come in, but when it does, you should be top priority to get it fit.

Maybe you can call the company you ordered from and find out what they say.

Yes, mine's in. We probably have different designers tho. Don't worry, it will come in.... and when it does... watchout!! A friend of mine used your shop a couple of years ago and she still raves about how great they were.

Hey girl, listen to me. If I were you I would contact the manufacturer. 6 weeks is not a lot of time and what if they come in 3 weeks from now? I would call to find out where they are and when they were sent. Flowerama could be giving you a line.

oh no... my dress is suppose to be in soon at Flowerama...now I am nervous...

they told me end of July or beginning of August... but they told me to call them if they don't call... the last time I called them they were really nice to me...

I would speak to the store manager and explain the whole situation to him/her. I would note the various dates you were previously told the dress would come in. If that doesn't help, ask to speak to the owner. Explain to them that you need a better answer than you've been given in the past.

I'm sure it can be done but six weeks is cutting it close.

I will definitely call the manufacturer. 6 weeks that is pushing it . If it comes in 3 weeks from now are they going to rush with the alterations. I not feeling them right about now. I can not wait to see your wedding review. I hope it's in this week or next. I am for you!!!!

To answer a few of you, the deposit was put on a credit card. Do you really think that I should throw in the Better Business Bureau as a threat? What if it blows up on me later?

I do, however, need & deserve a better answer than 'it's en route'. I just tried calling the manager again (whom I've spoken to many times), to ask her for the manufacturer's # to cut the middle person out.
Fashionhag, you're right. What if they take even longer, and end up sending it 3 weeks prior, and then they mess up the alterations because they're trying to speed through it? I have a feeling that Flowerama is BSing me, and are trying to cover their butts about it. Keep in mind, I ordered the dress back in Feb... WHY ON EARTH should it be late?
Btw, I ordered the same dress you plan to wear. I believe your using RK Bridal, but I would double check with them about the order, just in case. Flowerama claimed that the dress was in high demand, and it being overseas delayed the process... could very well be another line, though.

Janine, don't be nervous. I'm sure that I'm one of those rare cases. I've known about 3 other brides that have gotten dresses there, and they've had no problems. Up til now, the only problem I've had is receiving the dress.

am470... u haven't received your dress either????? What a coincidence... we're both marrying on the same date, and still haven't gotten one of the most important things of that day. Who will get it 1st? I'll race you... lol

ladyluv, I can't wait to post my review (and to read yours either )... cause then it will all be over - no more stress! However, I rarely have bad blood about vendors/experiences. Though, sometimes I feel like some might take my kindness/patience as a weakness... then again, it's not like Flowerama hasn't been nice to me. Sh*t happens, and just because someone goofs a couple of times, doesn't mean that they're always a goof, ya know?

Arghhh.... one more day past, and still no dress. I got my stockings, underwear & shoes though... for now looks like that's my outfit... lol.

I'm so sorry you're going through this! I don't really have much advice to offer other than I would hold off on the BBB threat for now and definitely call the manufacturer. If they say the dress wasn't ordered or ordered late then I'd go ahead and take more serious action! Good luck!

I feel your pain I was told by my bridal store THIS WEEK that my dress won't be in until the first week of October but not to worry. NOT TO WORRY HELLO I AM GETTING MARRIED NOV. 5TH!!!
