6 weeks (Sat) to our wedding, and STILL haven't seen my dress! - UPDATED!!!

UPDATE: The mgr @ Flowerama finally called me with good news!!!

She wanted to schedule me in for my fitting on Thurs or Fri of next week... but of course I can't make it!!! (Bachelorette weekend in Vegas! ) Will call again on Tuesday, to see if they can schedule me in for Wednesday evening, if not, then I'll go Mon night.

Also, 3 of the 5 girls' dresses will be here by then as well, but they'll all be away with me anyway. Just wanted to spread the good news (finally!).

WOOOO HOOOOOOO!!!! I bet that's a big relief. I'll be waiting for pics on monday night.

Yaaaaaaaaaaay! The worst part is that my digi-cam is being serviced, so I haven't been able to take any pics of anything (favors, bachelorette gifts, accessories, our trip, etc)! I hope to receive that back soon, if not then I'll have to do everything the old fashion way (argh!) - take pic & develop roll... how tedious!

Maybe it's not the store but the designer? I orded my dress (Veronica by Maggie Sottero) on NOVEMBER 6, 003 and it came in today, JULY 30, 2004! At least it's in, so that that's good news!! --Kelly

I'm glad that they are consistent with other brides. What a mess it would be if everyone would be complaining, huh?

Mine is a Maggie Sottero and my bridal store said that the manufacturer is backordered but they also said that they are dependable and my dress will be in the first week of Oct. w/o fail.
PS: I am freaking about it!!!!!

Fashionhag, you're right. What if they take even longer, and end up sending it 3 weeks prior, and then they mess up the alterations because they're trying to speed through it? I have a feeling that Flowerama is BSing me, and are trying to cover their butts about it. Keep in mind, I ordered the dress back in Feb... WHY ON EARTH should it be late?
Btw, I ordered the same dress you plan to wear. I believe your using RK Bridal, but I would double check with them about the order, just in case. Flowerama claimed that the dress was in high demand, and it being overseas delayed the process... could very well be another line, though.:

We do have dresses from the same manufacturer (do you have the olympia dress?). My dress is expected to be in between August 5-10th. My wedding isn't until April, so I have plenty of time. I have kept up with them calling twice a month to make sure and that is what they keep telling me (I am a fanactic about it being ontime). So hopefully by the end of next week I will have it. Yay! The MS dresses are in high demand, but you should have had your dress at the beginning of June at the absolute latest.

Mine is also Maggie Sottero. And there's another bride on here who received her M.S. dress late. It's very possible that they are backed up.

So ATTENTION M.S. brides, order your dresses early, just in case.

Actually, my dress is right on time. I ordered it in late April so 12 weeks later and it's about to be here. Yay! It's ironic that you ordered your dress 2 months before I did and we are getting them at the same time. LOL! I am so glad I ordered it 1 year before the wedding. Waiting until the last minute would drive me batty.

So now all I need to do is find a tailor and a placer to store it until I need to go for fittings.

Oh, I meant, how did you get them to have it to you so far in advance? Most bridal shops don't want to have the dress stored for months at a time, and order it closer to the date... which is why I think that my dress is late now! Anyway, u answered the question beacuse you don't plan on keeping it at your bridal store.

Oh, yeah, I ordered the dress through their no frills policy. I saved about $150 off the price of the dress but I won't be getting my alterations done there. But I am planning on going there to get the BMK dresses later this month.

I'm so glad it worked out!!!
