i'm talking bridal showers here. i would like to keep mine small, meaning about 35-40 people. my fmil's idea of small is 60....hmmmmmm.... whats your take? yes, i know you have to take into consideration size of bp, size of guest list, etc. but as far as the shower goes....

Re: 60 - just enough or way to many
Im having 75 people at my wedding and my mom is inviting 30 people to the shower...I think it really depends how many people you're inviting and how many you're very close with...FH are VERY CLOSE with all of our 75 guests, therefore, 30 of these women will be invited to my shower

i realize there is no answer to this question, but imo, for a wedding where the guest list is about 147, i think 60 is too much.
its my understanding that if you are invited to the shower, you are invited to the wedding BUT, if you invited to the wedding, you are not necessarily invited to the shower.
the shower can be whoever you want it to be, just family and close friends, or just family or whoever.
and i know that everyone is different, i was just trying to get a feel for what the average is..
