30 Days
381 for me...way too long!!!!!
I give you credit for giving this guy an extra 2 days to get back to you. You are a better person than I.
I would suggest talking to him in person. Ask if everything is ok with him. He may be caught off guard. After all, maybe there is more to this than he is letting on. Then tell him that you understand that it may make him uncomfortable to tell you cant come, but you understand...and hope to see him/get together with him after your honeymoon.

30 Days - I'm in the Zone
We have 6 months (& 9 days) left. Major plans are dealt with and although I know it will fly, I am appreciating where I am today-in the comfort zone. It doesn't feel like it's a world away but it isn't right around the corner either. I am excited for all you girls who are coming into the homestretch...it really is like we are a part of each others planning on a daily basis. Try and enjoy where you're at today because from what I understand, the day flies by so it's great to appreciate the prelude to the day too :o)

It's getting a little crazy now with all the little details. Who if flying in when. When are they getting in. What to do when they are all here. Who can help provide transportation. Whew...it's alot to think about as we come down the homestretch!!

Yeah Ann-Marie I am at 10 days and am super stressed. Anything that doesn't go smoothly really throws me for a loop. Did you find someone to do your hair?
We are using the Best Western in Hempstead for our out of town guests as well as for me the night before the wedding and for Joseph and I the night of the wedding. When we blocked the room they told us they would hold the rooms until a month before the wedding and the rooms not taken by then would be released. I thought that was a little too soon but I was OK with that. Today was the day they released the untaken rooms. Out of the 10 rooms blocked 7 were booked. I called today to find out if there was a discount for the bride and groom in addition to the rate we were given and I was told no because we were given a group rate already and no further discount would be given. Is it wrong for me to be disappointed? Should I even pursue it further with a manager? Is 7 rooms not enough to make a case for myself? I am sure there will be other rooms taken by people who were not prepared a month before the wedding to make their arrangememnts. Tell me what you guys think.
I still have to bring my money the day of the wedding! I can't believe how much money I will have to watch over that day. And at what point do you give the tips and stuff.

I am still working on the hair people. I still have to look up the place you suggested. I have not had the time for that yet. I just got off the phone with another hair person that my makeup person recomended, but she wants $50 for a trial run for me. And quoted me a price of $50 for the bridesmaids for the wedding day. They have short hair and will really only require styling or blow outs. No updos or anything major. Seems to be alot. I have to look into the place you suggested, and look up the phone number. Grrrrrrrr this is tough!!
the idea of a fruit basket or something along those lines would be a nice touch but i wouldn't expect it

I agree that the homestrech is crazy. I have 22 days to go and i am losing my mind. I feel like there is so much that I have to do and not enough time to do it...and moving to add to the list...AAHH
There were definitely some postings on them a month or 2 back. Do a search on them here and Im sure you will find some info.
I don't think 18 is too young to be a groomsman. I was 16 the first time I was a bridesmaid. I definitely wouldn't consider him a junior groomsman.

Thanks a million Heather. I will definitely give them a call. Is there someone specific I should speak to?
I've been having a ball with my mom-we've been favor shopping, etc. Can't wait until after the holidays when we can really get in gear-our wedding is not until April 2002, so we won't look for flowers, limos, etc. until January of next year.

I would just say to them where you live and also what you would like to do with your hair and then see what they can do. Let me know how it goes! Good luck
Heather,
My sister was just married at V.C. last month and the reception was beautiful. Even though the day wasn't the most pleasant weather wise, the view and place was gorgeous. Service and cusine was out of this world. Plus the fact they do one party at a time was a plus.
