7-27-01: What a perfect day
We had an amazing wedding; everything was perfect. We couldn't have asked for better weather: 75 degrees and no humidity. 3:30 ceremony at St Barnabas in Bellmore and it was a beautiful ceremony. Some people said that a ceremony that early on a Friday would not be well attended, but the church was packed. Very few people came to the reception but not the church. Westbury Manor was fantastic. We had nothing to complain about. People were calling our parents all week when we were gone to rave about the food and the service. Everyone especially loved the outdoor cocktail hour. In the Mixx DJ's was out of this world. They were really the best vendor we booked. The dance floor was packed from 6:30 to 10:30. I think the only time the people under age 75 were sitting down was during dinner-people who do not normally dance were letting loose. He played a nice mix of music for all ages present. They were very reasonable too, and terrific. Photos and video: Tony from Proline and Hal (owner) from T & T Video Productions. They were both terrific to work with, and Tony kept his promise of getting the pictures done in time for us to make it to the cocktail hour. I'll go into more detail when I get the finished product. Flowers-Mankers in Farmingdale. Excellent job. They were exactly what I wanted, they came early, they were always pleasant to deal with. (And very reasonable too.) Limos-Royalty was terrific. They were also early. I didn't realize how much their job entailed-they were the organizers of the processional at the church, the train fluffers, etc. They were great to work with. Honeymoon was on the Carnival Sensation to Grand Cayman, Cozumel and New Orleans. I'll post separately about that later since I'd better get to work. Ladies, enjoy, take it in because it flies by, and whatever happens, have no regrets because you did the best you can. Thanks for all your help-any questions, please feel free to post or email at [email protected]

Congrats!
We had Tony from Pro Line for our wedding on 7/6 at Fox Hollow. We loved him! Did he bring his daughter with him to assist?(her gothic look got some stares from my older relatives). I just picked up the proofs on Monday and I couldn't be happier.

Sounds like a fairy tale wedding! More info on the cruise?
I'm glad you had such a beautiful day. Maybe you can post some pictures when you get a chance. I do have some questions about the Cruise on the Sensation to Grand Caymon, Cozemul, and New Orleans, because we booked this cruise for our honeymoon too. Any information would be great because I have heard mixed reviews for honeymoon cruises. Thanks, and congratulations!

Our cruise
The cruise was terrific. Everything was included in the price except for shore tours, soda, alcohol, and gratuities. -In Grand Cayman we went snorkeling with stingrays. You're only in about 5 feet of water. The stingrays are so friendly; they come up to you and you can feed them. It was definitely worth it. Our tour also went to the town of 'Hell' (not much to see there) and the Sea turtle farm, where you get to hold the sea turtles. That part was also terrific. If you go to the turtle farm, you must go across the street to the rum factory and sample the rum cakes. -In Cozumel we went on the Dolphin Encounter where we played with and fed the dolphins (as you can see we love animals). I also heard the Fiesta Party Boat Tour was good. -In New Orleans (our favorite part) we took a walking tour of the Garden District which also stopped at the cemetary that Double Jeopardy was filmed in. Then we hung out in the French quarter which was awesome. All of the bars have really great live bands and there's no cover charge, so you can hop from one to the other without having to declare bankruptcy. The Famous Door on Bourbon Street was our favorite bar; they had a really good rock band there. The entertainment on the ship was great, there's everything: the newlywed show, comedy shows, vegas style shows, there's something for everyone. The food-unbelieveable. They wait on you hand and foot. You made a great choice-enjoy it. I'll post pictures as soon as I get someone to help me figure out how :-)

Congrats!
I think there's two Tonys and this one didn't have his daughter. My Tony was great as well-he really kept me calm and was a pleasure to work with in general.

Sounds like a perfect wedding and honeymoon
Glad to hear all your planning worked out so well. It sounds spectacular. Best of luck to you and your new husband. I hope to see pictures soon. The Westbury Manor is gorgeous and I feel like booking the cruise as I write this. My wedding is coming soon about 35 days. Can't wait.

Jenn P how long did your garden tour in New Orleans take? The reason I am asking is because we would like to make reservations to Nola Resturaunt and need some time frames. ThanksWelcome New Vendors
