$700 Billion Bailout Bill

Doesnt look like it will be passing.....what do you think?

I think they will need to go back and work on it.

I agreed with what you posted before...provsions and caps need to be made for CEO salaries and there has to be some accountability. It's amazing how out of control it all got.

We need something done, the market is only going to keep tanking. I personally think not having a bail out would be catastrophic for our economy.

I think they will keep working on it if not lets all save as much as we can because we have no idea if we will have jobs the way the economy is going it will effect everyone

They actually voted no and its been denied already. They are try to come up with another plan now but as far as the bail out plan they had, its been denied. Within 10 mins of that happening, stocks have gone down 600 points

there will be frozen assets. If they dont come up with a plan and things happen for the worst then banks can go bankrupt, if they dont get help. Stock market can continue to go down and who knows about a crash but its very possible.

They voted it down because of the issue of using taxpayer dollars to bail them out. I have to say I agree...it's really not fair to us, we didn't make these decisions and lend money to people who could not afford these mortgages just so they could make more $$, etc etc so why should we pay for these mistakes? On the other hand, I don't know what will happen if they don't put forth some type of bailout. Sorry I know there was already a post on this two days ago...

I am scared about this....I mean what will happen? My brother was saying tonight that you wont even be able to use a credit card soon (he tends to go overboard) but I am scared! And here we are spending a lot of our money on our weddings

Unfortunately i think using tax payer dollars is necessary. The crash of the economy would be so much worse. Its crazy how fast everything got out of control. The govt told fannie and freddie to work with these mortgage holders so that they can keep there homes and they can get there mortgages and they refuse to do that, i think there banking on this bailout. So crazy
