7/22/08 - Our first anniversary! Did you eat your cake?

We of course saved our wedding cake from last year... it's in the freezer. Did others eat the cake? How do you defrost it? I'm thinking of sticking it in the fridge today to be thawed by Tuesday evening? I would imagine microwave defrosting would be disasterous?

Any gift ideas for DH? I'm still on maternity leave so I don't have a lot of money to spend. I got him a cool card though.

Anyway, happy anniversary to us Can't believe it's been a year... and what a year. Who would of thought a year ago that I'd have a 2.5 month old beautiful baby girl? Guess she's the anniversary gift which is more than enough.

I ate my cake the day after my wedding with the filet mignon i didn't get to eat the night before. On our one year we bought a nice fresh one

We ate it. It really wasn't that bad. We had friends that celebrated their 1st anniversary 3 weeks before us and they told us how digusting it was. Now, I am a very picky eater and I didn't think it was that bad. I didn't eat the whole thing. I really only did it for tradition.

happy anniversary fellow wcc bride!! we ate our cake, put it in the fridge fri night and out on the counter for about an hour on sunday night and then ate it. it was ok, not great but edible. i also didnt eat the whole thing, but the chocolate pudding filling was the best part! did wcc do your cake?
