Im deciding which size to do my scrapbooks in. I hate the 'same old' traditional looking albums and I see lots of fun colorful 8 1/2 X 11 binders out there. Plus I like the idea of being able to flip pages around. The reg scrapbooks look like theyll have 'wear and tear' aging after adding pages or rearranging pages enough.
Am I limiting myself to the selection out there if I do 8 1/2 by 11? I also plan to do those clear page-covers with acid free 'colorful' pages in them as my photo pages, and also some regular 'album' pages here and there.
am I confused or confusing? I guess I just want to know if i'll regret NOT doing 12x12 since it seems like theres a bit more selection in that size..

Re: 8 1/2 X 11 or 12x12 Books?
I was told that they are going to start to phase out the 81/2 x 11 books and pages and to stick with a 12 x 12 if your doing a long term scrapbook (like documenting your child's life) because the 8 1/2 x 11 selection of paper will being to decrease . . but you can always cut down the 12 x 12 paper . It's up to you

I prefer the 12x12 albums - I like to put a few pics and other things on each page and it the room gets taken up fast.

I personally prefer 12x12 because I can add much more and you always seem to find 12x12.

Re: 8 1/2 X 11 or 12x12 Books?
anna, I use a 8 x 10 binder album and I have noticed that it is harder to find 8 x 10 paper and like it was mentioned I buy the 12 x 12 paper and cut it down. My next album is going to be a 12 x 12.
