Hi there, I got a quote today of $85 for low centerpieces in 6x6 squares with hydrangeas and roses. Does this sound unreasonable to anyone? Ladies with low centerpieces? what do ya think?

Re: $85 for low cp's
that seems about right. If you look in my album you can see a pic of what I got a quote on and I was quoted $90 for each low centerpiece.

Re: $85 for low cp's
We did modest vases I bought myself and just roses (lavender and white) and it was $35 per CP (they were low). The vases themselves were $10 each from Target. I had 12 tables. Flowers were not very important to me -- I just wanted something nice, not spectacular.
I also got these tiny tea light votives and got the flickering electric tea lights to put in them on the table. Those were about $1.50 each.
You can call me a budget bride. I was very happy how our tables turned out.

Re: $85 for low cp's
The 130 was for the low centerpieces, high ones I was quoted 175 but I got them down to 160. I'm started to feel that I'm paying way to much.

I'm paying $40 for low, rectangular centerpieces. Mine are a mix of flowers. I didn't want to spend much on flowers

Re: $85 for low cp's
Thats about right. I shopped around at a bunch of places and $85 was about average. The range was about $60 to outrageous (all for the same flowers)
We are getting roses, hydrangeas, orchids, yellow calla lilies, and hypericum berries in a glass cube.
We are going with a florist that quoted us for $60 a centerpiece. Its a local company with a great reputation.
Happy that is checked off my list!

Re: $85 for low cp's
I think that's a bit too much for low CP's. I had jade & lt pink phalaenopsis orchids with babies breath for $45 ea. in a sq. vase. Although, I don't recommend working with my florist (see my wedding review), I'm sure you can find other vendors that will quote you a lot less. $85+ sounds reasonable for high CP's but for low CP's, it's a bit overpriced if it's only for roses and hydrangeas.
