just went to the potty and when I wiped there was a bunch of brown blood/stuff.....nothing on the undies....
it's normal, right? nothing to be scared of???

I've had a long period of daily brownish spotting (weeks 8-10) that seems like it might be ending. There can be various explanations for it, but there is no need to get overly concerned right now, so try not to worry (I know, easier said than done!). However, I would call your doc and see what he/she says. Mine had me come in immediately for a checkup and U/S to verify that everything was OK and try to diagnose a reason for the spotting.
Also, for pregnancy stuff, I spend alot of time on the fertilityfriend boards - tons of women with tons of discussion on all kinds of preggo topics. I've found it to be really helpful in sorting out my concerns.

I just went through this Wednesday and everything turned out fine...but pls call your doctor right away. They will most likely have you come in for a sono just to make sure. Lots of women experience spotting and brown is better than red - could be from sex, the placenta etc...but call your dr. Good luck and let know how it goes.

Since you are not in GA, I would call the Dr's office there and see what they say. If bleeding persists or gets worse, see if you can go to your old OB/GYN. Or even go to the ER or a clinic. If you have to pay for the visit it will be worth it.
I'm pretty sure everything will be OK.

Usually it's nothing and it's very common. I had some spotting around my 8th or 9th week and everything turned out fine for me. My doctor did put me on bed rest while I was spotting. I would call your doctor and see what they have to say.
Rest up and take it easy. My doctor told me to use it as a reminder that I am pregnant and I need to tone things down in my life.

Even though you're not home, I would call and talk to the doctor about it. If you won't be back to see him/her within a couple of days, maybe there's someone you can get in to quickly see in NY. Best to get it checked out. In the meantime, as everyone said, it is not too uncommon, so don't stress about it.

I would call your doctor right away and see what they say....although its very common to spot brown for various reasons......when I spotted brown unfortunately it meant that something was wrong. Let us know what your doctor recommends.

It's funny, because I was going to ask the same question today. I'm not 9 weeks, but I was spotting brown as well. It seems the best bet is to call the doctor.

Thank YOu ladies.....I'm still spotting lightly, but I'm wondering if flying or change in weather had anything to do with it. I was also running around alot while in NY, so I'm taking it easy today before going to work tomorrow. It's not really heavy, and it seems to happen more at night.
I'm calling the Dr tomorrow am because DH can't make our Wed appt. so I have to change time or day.

From what Ive read, if you have spotting for longer than 3 days, or if spotting is accompanied by cramping, you should have a dr check it out asap. Its happened to lots of us and I'm sure evrything will be fine. Good luck tomorrow!

I had brown spotting too. Some women do. Brown blood is old blood.

Ahhh, now I see why you may be scared - I think you'll find out it is perfectly normal - and not out of the ordinary, its brown meaning its old blood. Good Luck
