FH and I as well as my parents have an appointment this upcoming Monday (9/11) to book our hall. Most likely we are going to book however i feel like we shouldn't really be celebrating on such a day no? Im like freakishly excited to book but should i just reschedule my appoinment to later on in the week?
I think you should still go and do what you would do on every other day. Should we remember these people and not forget them and what happened...yes....but had you switched roles with anyone in that tower or whever, would they be putting off something b/c it's 9/11. Probably not. They would go about their lives just the way you are, but still think to make it a day of remembrance!!! So book your hall, enjoy the moment, and cherish it, because I'm sure that's what anyone would say. Cherish those special moments b/c you don't know what will happen!!!
If you have an appointment, keep it. Being you were concerned about this I'm sure you'll find time to reflect on Monday and enjoy some time with your family. I know how you feel though. I have a wedding to go to on Sunday and don't feel it will be a good weekend for me to celebrate.
yes i definitely agree with everyones advice- dont cancel your appointment- i know 9/11 will be really hard & difficult but we have to live our lives regularly but we will still be thinking about the lost ones. where r u booking your hall?
