$950?!!

I just called the church to figure out prices and it's $950!! And we're not even doing a full mass! Plus $350 for the organist. I mean, I wanted to get married at my church so I guess that I did it to myself but holy cow!!

It's $995 for the ceremony site fee for me to get married at my venue and I think that's pretty common. It still sucks, lol. But I think that's about right.

Mine costs the same. Personally I dont think its that bad considering im spending 50K on a wedding & the ceremony is the most important part.

wow I guess I'm lucky! mine is $500,& I think $75 for precana $250 for organist and $250 for a singer. I'm not getting the organ bc I. want an acoustic guitar player..... and I haven't ddecided on singer yet.

We're getting married at the venue and its $750 for the space....then we're paying the officiant $600. 2 premarital counseling sessions was another $275. Def not budget, but whatcha gonna do?

it really varies by church... my church was over 1000, but I didn't want to get married in my church because my parents and my FH's parents got married at OLV in floral park. So my FH and I decided to get married there and it was like 6 or 7 hundred and was just redone! It really depends on the church. If you are not set on a specific place, then I'd suggest calling out and seeing what the different prices are

someone told me that the website says that is a suggested fee, my church at least. if u can't afford that u explain that and give what u can. I'm gonna look into that.

Ours was a little over $1000 between the service, music, and Pre-Cana. The length of the service wouldn't really make a difference to the price because all you're really not including is communion. It's a lot, but really a drop in the bucket after all the money spent on a venue, photo/video, flowers, dress, hair/makeup, etc etc etc. And I agree with Soon2BeMrsMango, the ceremony is the most important part!
