I think its sad that a country like the Philippines (just used as one example) can have a female president, but it seems to be a problem to some in this country.
Does anyone know the reasoning? Because I just don't get it.

(Btw- I would vote for ANYONE as long as I believed in them, no matter their sex, skin color, religion, etc)

I think I read somewhere that she was voted the 'most POWERFUL woman in america'... and it wasn't a vote for just minority... that was for anybody whites/blacks/whatever.

As a black female, I don't believe that I will ever see this in my lifetime. I honestly believe that a white female will be president before we see a minority male or female president.

Now if the right person were to run and I believe in what they stood for then Yes I would vote for her.

I too am saddened that we have never had a woman or an african american as President or VP. Unfortunately, I still do not think this is close to happening. There are some promising politicians that could change this, inluding the new Senator in Illinois. Hopefully, people can really look beyond sex and race and vote for the best person. I would strongly support a woman candidate.

I think this country will see a Black man as president before they see a woman...regardless of color!! I wont just vote for a woman because she is a woman unless I feel she is the best canidate for the job. I hope that before I die....a woman is running this country!!!

I tend to agree with this. Someone like Collin Powell (although not him, I don't think he'll ever run) that is a black Republican male - crosses both lines.

I would vote for anyone regardless of race, creed, gender, etc if I believed what they stood for but I would never vote for someone just because of their race, creed, gender etc.

The powers that be would try their hardest to never let this happen..But I would vote for a black female president as long as she stands for the qualities I expect in ANY president. But heck..she would probably never win unless we had armed guards watching the voting process...the good old boys would never let that happen...
