A couple of questions for the ladies who are already married . . . . .

Original post by 2Be1

Were you or FH late for your wedding?

A few people we know who are already married and a couple of our vendors have told us that chances are we WILL be late for our own wedding. FH & I do not want to receive this because we believe that we will be right on schedule and everything will start on time.

I wanted to know how many of you actually started on time and how many of you were behind schedule and why? Correct me if I’m wrong, but doesn’t the hall charge you for overtime if you are late (we are getting married at our hall)?

We were on time for the ceremony, but late for the pics beforehand. My mom took extra long chatting with the makeup artist/hairstylist (thanks, Mom!), which pushed me back as well. Then, the photographer wanted to take some getting ready shots. I hadn't scheduled for those, so that was my mistake. The photo session was shorter but we made it to the ceremony as scheduled.

We were both on time! the church was at 5pm DH was there at 4:30 and i arrived about 4:50 and we started at exactly 5pm! our CH started at 7:30pm we arrived at the RH at 7pm finished taking picture and we missed about 1/2 hour of of CH which was no big deal.

We were right on time. I hate weddings that start late.

I just went to a wedding recently where the invitation was actually 30 minutes before when they planned on starting. Of course, they knew, but we didn't. So there I sat in my pregnant glory FOREVER waiting for them. I ended up having to go to the bathroom as they started. I was quite mad and so were other guests.

I was ready on time!!!!
But DH waited until the last minute to get dressed and in his rush he broke the clasp on the tux pants!!

His GM were no help, just laughing at him and he finally had to have his mom safety pin him together until he could get a new pair of pants after the ceremony.

So we started 15 mintues late. But I was on time and that 15 minutes did not effect, the rest of the time.
