so i happen to LOVE the tv show, 'gilmore girls'. FH buys me all the seasons on dvd and i pretty much watch an episode or two each day... he usually watches with me and i always sing the opening credits song to him every time. i cannot sing so it's always loud and off key and obnoxious, but it's funny... or at least i like to think so! anyway, i downloaded the song on the comp today and was like 'hey, you wanna hear our first dance at the wedding?' and i played it for him and started doing a little stupid dance for him. he was like 'oh i don't think so!' but he laughed. anyway, i was thinking of being a dork and playing it at the wedding. i know it'll make him smile what do you guys think? am i a total dork? and if i do it... should i have it as the cake cutting song... or should i dedicate it to him or what should i do? p.s. it's called 'where you lead' and it's by carole king

Re: a dorky moment
Oh I am the same way-I have all of the boxsets and even got FH and my mom watching it. It's tempting to play the song-I would maybe either use it for the cake cutting or towards the end of the night.

First off... yes, you're a dork........ BUT I LOVE IT!!!!! (I'm a dork myself, so let's not be shy about our dorky-ness) I would definitely chose that as the cutting the cake song.

Re: a dorky moment
i used to watch the show when it first came out and i remember after the first season they were thinking of cancelling the show and i was so upset! i only got back into it in the past month so i'm trying to catch up i have it tivod all of the time and its on my blockbuster rental thing for the next couple of dvds haha. i think that would make a great addition to your wedding. especially during cutting the cake. its an intimate moment and if its something that you both share a love for, it would be great.

I don't watch the show, but I'm a big Carole King fan. It's a great song and totally wedding appropriate and if it will make you and your FH smile I think you should totally go for it!
