A dress to drool over

Original post by MirabellaNYC

In 3 weeks I'm going to Vera Wang for a trunk show at Wedding Salon...here's what I'm dying to try...
Here's 4 shots of the same dress, 2 from the runway and 2 from a Brides magazine (Brides.com) editorial.

I know it's a bit big, but WHATEVER...it's amazing
Thoughts?

I think I may try it without the sash...the bodice is so gorgeous. I guess we'll see in 3 weeks =)

It is pretty, but i'm not loving the basque waist--I'd love to see it on you though b/c that's all that really mattters is how you feel in it!

Re: A dress to drool over

I think it is really great... Definitely not the type of gown that I want to have... My tastes are just really different than yours. I'd like a vintage look for me... I have a very small waiste, too, and it is definitely great to accentuate your small upper body, and I think this dress does that. I wouldn't want the dress for myself, but I completely respect other styles, especially ones that are a little 'out there' because it shows you're not afraid to take risks. However, one thing to keep in mind... You definitely want your new hubby to be blown away when you walk down the aisle, so keep in mind if he is picturing a more traditional type of gown (or maybe he isn't, which is great!), because if he is, you may just want to tell him ahead of time that your gown is definitely different from other dresses. But I really do like this gown!!! Especially if it reminds you of your ballerina days

Random question... how are the Maggie Sottero prices? I'm in love with a Maggie gown I saw online, and am curious as to whether or not her prices are reasonable... Thanks girls!! You can direct me to a different forum if this was already discussed... I'm a newby

It is a stunning dress!!!! Go for it!!!

Lauren....Ahhh....the dreaded FUPA!!!! I actually had to explain to FMIL what that meant

The V reminds of a pair of jeans I had in elementary school....Except I didn't fold the waistband and wore it with a tucked in poet blous and penny loafers
Did I just admit that???

Still don't know what a FUPA is ??

The dress is beautiful but the ribbon is un-necessary...although perhaps it could be changed to match any bridesmaids??

I like the top not so much the bottom, it might look different in person. Let us know how that goes
