Does anyone know.. 1. If you are having a ceremony at the hall, what would you do about music?
2. For place cards that the place is giving you, do they write on them or do they just give you blank ones and you fill it out?
3. What kind of ceremonies do you do unity sand/candles in?
4. What's everyones take on programs?
5. Anyone have any feedback on a Memorial Sunday night wedding?
THANKS SO MUCH! Carly

1. I'm going to have whoever I book as my DJ provide the music for the ceremony.
2. Usually they give you blank cards that you fill out, or you can do DIY ones
3. I have no idea, but I want a unity candle lol
4. and I want programs too.. probably DIY ones
5. Do you mean the Sunday before Memorial day or just a Sunday where most have monday off? either way I think its a good idea!

5. Anyone have any feedback on a Memorial Sunday night wedding? Some people appreciate having the Monday off to travel and relax. Others complain (though often not to the bride) about having to give up their precious three-day weekend. Price-wise, the Sunday of a holiday weekend is often treated like a Saturday. If it appeals to you, go for it! Just be sure to tell people about the wedding early, since they're more likely to make plans in advance for a holiday weekend.
People complain no matter what you do.. people complain if you get married on a Friday bc they have to leave work early and ughh theyre tired, they complain if you get married on a Saturday afternoon because they have to wake up early to get ready, they complain if you get married on a Saturday night because then its late and they're tired or have too much of the day to do nothing they complain if you get married on a Sunday because o no they have work on Monday and if they're off on Monday bc of the 3 day weekend.. theres just no making people happy! they all stink LOL

Haha true. But it's also true that you could get married at like 5am on a Tuesday and the people who really mattered would find a way to be there.
I'm a bit worried about having a Sunday morning wedding all the way out in Baiting Hollow, with a ton of OOT'ers who won't have Monday off. It kinda makes me wish we hadn't purposefully avoided Memorial Day weekend. Oh well.
That is very true, the people who really matter will be there and I don't think you have anything to worry about with a Sunday morning they have plenty of time to get home! or they can take Monday off.. I always love an excuse to make a 3 days weekend LOL
I'm getting married late on Saturday and Sunday is Mothers Day

I think our day is great... its a great excuse for people to do a day after brunch on their own that you don't have to host, AND in the future, FH will only have to remember one weekend. My birthday is the same weekend as well so we're set :)

Re: A few questions...
1. DJ will play the ceremony and reception usually, unless you want some sort of live entertainment for that. Whatever you want.
2. You will likely want to do your own placecards, otherwise, you'll get theirs and write or print on them. I'm DIYing mine
3. What kind of ceremonies do you do unity sand/candles in? Any kind. It's completely a personal choice. I like the unity candle and our families are of mixed religions.
4. Ehh...not sure yet how necessary they are. People throw them out, they're on the floor, etc. It's a nice touch, but unnecessary in my opinion.
5. Anyone have any feedback on a Memorial Sunday night wedding? Great idea! And like the other girls said, don't worry about pleasing everyone, you can't!
