I am not getting married until September 2003 (changed it from October).....I was wondering...I would like to book a facility in the summer...would that be too early? I am an early starter! I live in the Bronx and I want to look around in the Bronx, Westchester and Nassau county....do you think Nassau county is too far for my guests to travel? And my final question to everyone is that in Nassau county I am thinking about looking into Manor East or Elegante Grand....I need to know is there anything good and bad about both? How are their prices and is the food good? Sorry this was so long...thanks!!

If the halls book that far in advance, which I would think they do, and you find something you love, definitely book early. If you could lock in 2001 prices for a 2003 wedding, I'm sure you will be saving yourself a lot of money. In regards to where to have the wedding: Where will most of your guests be coming from? Take that into consideration and also, if you do decide on Nassau, try not to go too far out. I don't know either of the places you mentioned but for their comfort, you don't want your guests to have a long commute (both ways) to the wedding if you can avoid it. If people have far to go, you run the risk of them showing up late due to traffic or leaving early because they are getting tired and know they have a long drive. Also, if your having the ceremony in the Bronx and the reception on LI, consider if you will be going into overtime with a limos, that can add up. Try to be mindful of your guests but follow your heart. Good luck.
