A ? for brides getting married at their hall

A ? for brides getting married at their hall

Are your guests throwing anything for good luck? (rice, bird seed, rose petal. . .)

If yes, how and when are you doing it?

My mom really wants me to do this, but I'm not really sure how to incorporate it.

Hmmm...I'm not sure. I was going to release butterflies, but I heard some really not so good things about this. So, I don't know. I'm not a fan of the birdseed, and my church doesn't allow rice.

We are not doing that, nor have I seen it done.. But that may be a Jewish wedding thing- not to throw stuff-- we just break some glass and call it a day.

we are doing rose petals as we are walking back down the aisle..the guests will already have them in the hands..our ceremony is outside...

I love the glass breaking part.

My mom wants to incorporate something to throw too. I told her I don't think so... Since i am getting married at the hall, no receiving line, and I don't think there is a chance for people to throw stuff. I was thinkin of leaving bubbles on the end seats of the aisle, but if it rains Villa doesn't allow anything inside.

We will have the guests blow bubbles as we walk down the aisle. The ceremony is outside, and FI's nieces will hand out the bubbles to everyone as they arrive. Our officiant is going to explain that the guests should fill each bubble with good wishes for us and then blow them up to the heavens...or something like that...

My guests will ring tiny silver bells instead of throwing anything.

We're going to release butterflies during our ceremony and our guests are going to blow bubbles. I've also heard throwing rose petals is very nice

My hall actually does not allow too much (no birdseed, confetti or anything) so we are not doing it. I think the butterfly release is a great idea though.

Ribbon wands

I'm thinking, for an outdoor ceremony: Lavender and petals will be distributed in tiny glassine envelopes with the program (or maybe inside it) with instructions to throw it after the kiss as we walk back up the aisle.

Since we can't throw anything because of the open fish tanks we are using wedding bells for everyone to ring!!

Not using anything. My mother wanted me to use bubble but I told her that I as too afraid of them staining my gown.

We knew that our friends were going to stay till the end so we did not do anything until our exit from the reception. We were restricted as to what we could do. It was either bubbles or rose petals, but I wanted something different. So, we made ribbon wands. When we left we had them wave their ribbon wands at us (sounds funny). Here is a picture to help explain.

If you leave first, you can have everyone throw something at you. However, this was done at one wedding I went to- and it was bad. It took everyone away from teh dance floor and we were all having fun. The weddign just ended there.
