A great way to start off your life together by giving back...
I just discovered the I Do foundation and wanted to share with all of you... check them out... they are all about helping a couple incorporate charity into their wedding. I think there's something beautiful about starting out your marriage by giving back in some way... after all, we are all so fortunate to be able to live the lives we do in this country and have found someone we want to marry and be able to afford a wedding (of whatever scale).
The I Do foundation site had so many ideas I never would have thought of ways we could give back... from donating the excess food at the reception (if your vendor will let you- if not, think about referring them to the site and suggesting they consider it; I convinced a site director to start donating excess food- she emailled me about it and I didn't even book her venue), to reducing your carbon footprint as you plan your wedding, to making charitable donations.
