We haven't picked a date yet but my FH likes the idea of getting married on Halloween. It's on a Saturday in 2009. My parents and his parents think it's bad luck. What do you think?

Bad Luck?? NAH!! My cousin got married on Halloween 10 years ago at the VYC (used to be John Anthonys) and got a SICK deal!! 10 years later and they are still very happily married
If you like the date then go for it!

I don't think it's bad luck. Any day you get married on is going to be a good day. And it will certainly be original! I don't think many people get married on that day!

My cousin got married on Halloween and it was great. Every year to celebrate their anniversary they have a halloween party.

one of the 09 girls is getting married on halloween... little34... her whole wedding looks awesome.. makes me wanna get married on halloween.. you can do cute cute and fun things on that day...

My cousin got married a day before halloween and it was BEAUTIFUL! There's a lot of things you can do with that date...I don't think its bad luck at all!

You should check out some reviews from the 06 brides They incorporated so much fun stuff with their halloween inspired weddings.
I do not think it is bad luck, that is definately not true, You make your own luck!
I think it's fine! If you like the date and it doesn't matter to you than go for it. I've seen some beautiful weddings on Halloween. I'm sure if you browse you will come across some and you will be sold on having your halloween wedding
Thanks for the websites. It's slowly growing on me. I curious to see the price differences for booking on Halloween.

i dont think its bad luck, a few girls on here are getting married on 10/31. you'll probably be able to get a decent price. my only concern would be those with kids, i mean halloween only comes once a year and its definitely a kids 'holiday'. my other concern is that if you you'll have to worry about your guests getting home after a few drinks and/or being tired and the older kids running through the streets at night.
but definitely go and price it out, it may be worth it!

We're getting married on Halloween - There was NO special negotiations or lowering the price! And even though it's the last day in October, it's still pretty ! We love the idea of a Halloween wedding though - never once did I think it would be bad luck!

Oh so the parents are startin in with their comments already? Get ready for that throughout the whole planning process... Thats only the beginning
I dont think its bad luck at all... I actually think its a pretty fun idea... Just be prepared that you may have that wacky uncle or crazy friend showing up in a costume when you may not want to go completely with the halloween theme

My wedding is not even on Halloween but its in October and my friend asked me if she can wear a costume lol.
I am sure your wedding will be fun anyday but Halloween is just a fun day anyway.
