A letter regarding my Makeup Artist..

Original post by FutureMrsGee

I just received in the mail that Christy ann is not going to be doing my makeup because of a medical related issue.

I already booked with her because she was the one doing my makeup...

Here's the problem...

I have a pay another trial fee to see one of her senior makeup artists...

this is where I am p-o'ed because I just put down a deposit months ago, and now being that I am paying off things for the wedding everyone knows how much every penny counts and now I have to pay another fee for another artist who may, or may not do a good job on my makeup...

Am I overreacting.. please give me thoughts, comments, information on what I should do .. because I dont think this is right.

I would defnitely call her, she is such a sweetheart. I'm sure she will wave the fee for you, she always does her best to make right by her clients.

Def request ur deposit back since she's the one unable to work with, I don't think she'd have a problem returning u the money

You either get your deposit back or give you a trial on the house

You are not breaking your contract so you should not lay out any more money at all

I still don't get why she didn't call you. Why did you get a letter. I mean I hope she is ok but that's strange to send a letter

That is not cool at all!! You should NOT have to pay for another trial. This was not your fault!!

id ask for my money back, its only fair, and i wouldnt book a trial w/ her assistants i would just use someone else.

i would first try to see if they could waive that fee. it's not your fault that she can't do it. if they're still going to charge you, i'd ask for the deposit back and look elsewhere. sorry
