a little advice

a little advice

Hi 11'ers, just some advice.. DO NOT register right now unless your having an eparty. I finished registering about 2 months ago (aside from bedding) and there are SOOOO many things that are discontinued. So I basically wasted my time adding those things.

Just a heads up.

Thanks for the heads up. I'm having an eparty in June. So I will wait a bit to register but I wont do a full registry.

thanks.

I'm actually registered at Crate and Barrel but the good thing about C&B is when they start to discountinue thngs, they send you an email and let you know what on your list is being discontinued and a suggestion of what to replace it with. It's usually just an upgraded version of what you already had on there which is pretty sweet.

I registered at BBB, Macy's and Amazon.
At least 3 things from each has been discontinued. (I went out and bought one from Macy's before hand lol )

I would register.... maybe 10 months before.

Re: a little advice

As someone who has been engaged for 6 (count 'em 6) years, I don't think it's that big of a deal.

I originally had my registry at Fortunoff (RIP Fortunoff!!! ) And we used to get the discontinued emails. it's easy enough to go online and replace items here and there once the structure of the registry is in place. I don't think it's a big deal.

A few things I would wait to register for:

Bath accessory sets
Towels
Anything holiday related/seasonal
and maybe bedding

because those are things that get discontinued and really are released new every year.

I think there's a big benefit in registering early. If you;'re not regitered people will buy you gifts either as ane e-gift or xmas or whatever and it might be something you don't really want or can't use. Also, my family is really big on buying registry gifts for holidays. I already have most of my casual and formal china and a lot of odds and ends because of this
