I havent had my bridal shower yet, it is this coming weekend. I have been peeking at my registery - and only a few things off my registery has been purchased.
None of the silverware or china from Crate & Barrel has been purchased!!! I'm just disappointed, I always hear how items are constantly coming off peoples registeries and it isnt happening to mine.
I know I should be greatful for them even throwing me one, but if the registery is a sign that no one is coming...this could be a very sad weekend.
Trying to think happy thoughts.... And I'm definately going to stop peeking!!

First stop peeking, let yourself be surprised as you open the gifts!!! But dont worry alot of people wait to the last minute. For my MOH's shower, things really werent flying off the list until the DAY before! so dont panic. I am sure you will get lots of wonderful and beautiful stuff!

Keep in mind that most people are procrastinators and wait until the last minute! I'm sure if you look again Friday it will be a different story!
Or, maybe it isn't really this weekend and they're trying to throw you off!

People also know that you will probably peek, and they don't take the stuff off the registry!

Check with the host of your shower, see if they told people you were registered there. Maybe your friends are just procrastinators and haven't gone shopping yet.

Aww... Dont feel bad, My wedding is less than 32 days and I STILL havent had my bridal shower!!! AND THERES NOTHING OFF OF MY REGISTRY!!!!!

Also, don't forget taht people might have bought it and not mentioned at the register that it's for a registry!!

I'm sure there will be plenty of people at your shower. What the others are saying about the registry is true, not to worry!
There should be a way to block the bride from peeking, we're our own worst enemy......STOP PEEKING! ( I know I will do it too though )

I know how you feel! There were a few things I hoped to receive but did not receive. Your registries stay active for a long time, though, and family/friends can always get stuff for you for other holidays as well. No matter what, I LOVED everything else that I got, and it was a great day... so you'll enjoy yourself too, that's the best part! Have fun, it goes so fast!

Awww...I feel like crying right now. Don't worry about a thing!!! People do not go out and buy stuff until the very last minute...people are procrastinators...unlike me, who goes out months ahead to buy things off of people's registries just so that I know I can get something good for them. But, some people are not like that.
You will have a wonderful shower with lots of lots of gifts...you'll see!!! Enjoy yourself and don't let this bother you .

Stop peeking!! :) Don't worry! I am sure you will have a wonderful shower. I know a lot of people in my family will by stuff off the registry but, at a different store. They will look for it a little less expensive and then forget to take it off the registry. Whatever the case, I know you will have a good time and get lots of nice stuff. Can't wait to hear all about it!

Also don't forget sometime people forget or the stores forget to have things taken off the registry. Also some people are last minute shoppers!!

Thanks everyone, I'm beginning to feel better. I accidently found out about my shower (I scheduled my first dressing fitting for the same day and my dad's wife told me to change it). I wish I never found out about it.
But now that I know the date, I know three friends cant make it. One is going away for their 1st year anniversary, others the showers is too far away...was beginning to wonder if anyone was going.
I think I will definately stop peeking, because everytime I look I get upset. But atleast I know if I dont get anything else I have a new blender and a cocktail shaker to drown my sorrows later that evening (those are two of the 10 items that have been purchased) Seems the few people who bought me a gift think I'm an alcoholic.

A lot of the things left on my registry were actually purchased. Some people forget to let the cashier know, or it gets forgotten. Or maybe you think you know when your shower is and it actually isn't this upcoming weekend.
I find that its usually the last week where things disappear...

A lot of people didn't buy things off my registry either. I was disappointed, but then we still got some wonderful things, AND since my sister gave my shower a theme (restoring my house) we got a LOT of GC to Home Depot, which really came in handy! Don't fret!!! You'll still love everything!
