I havent had my bridal shower yet, it is this coming weekend. I have been peeking at my registery - and only a few things off my registery has been purchased.
None of the silverware or china from Crate & Barrel has been purchased!!! I'm just disappointed, I always hear how items are constantly coming off peoples registeries and it isnt happening to mine.
I know I should be greatful for them even throwing me one, but if the registery is a sign that no one is coming...this could be a very sad weekend.
Trying to think happy thoughts.... And I'm definately going to stop peeking!!

i got very little of what was on my registry. a registry is a wish list- unfortunately some people will buy you a gift without even checking it.
i returned a significant number of gifts & bought what i wanted with the store credit/cash!

Don't feel bad my shower is this Saturday too & I'm in the same boat, only difference is I know plenty of peeps are coming, but their just not buying off the registry so I'll probably get lotsa lingerie, which FH is VERY happy about

that happened to me...i had to buy tons of stuff after our wedding. Dont let it get you down. FM me, if you want to vent! TRUST me...i have been there!

Just read this entire thread & hooping that some folks just forgot to take stuff off - but either way I know we'll both have a great shower! Had to LOL at your post tho cuz 2 items purchased off registry are alcohol related so guess they think I'm an alky too!

are you sure its definately this weekend or are they trying to throw you off. they did that with my friend.. it was actually very funny.. hope it all works out!

You would be surprised how many people buy off th eregistry the last minute. Everything will be fine.

My shower was yesterday. I actually got more gift certificates for BB&B, where I am registerd, than I would have thought. Out of town guests mailed them in cards...
Also, a couple of people bought items off our registry from different stores than BB&B, maybe a store closer to them. So those items we just deleted from our registry yesterday.
Don't let peaking get you down-- I'm sure you'll have a wonderful shower!!!

I got way more gift certificates then presents at my shower that was also small b/c people were busy, out of town or what not. And you know what?
It was absolutely wonderful!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

People do not always buy from the registry - so don't judge what's Supposed to be a surprise! I am sure you will have a WONDERFUL day....just remember...those that love you most will be there for you!

Another thing came off my register, a cork screw bottle opener...what is up with all the alcohol related stuff getting purchased!!! I want dishes or a vaccuum cleaner not alcohol!!

Try not to worry...I have my best friends shower Sunday and I am still buying stuff for the shower...I am not done yet. Saturday I will hit more stores.
Also for showers I dont give my closest friends stuff off the registry...I always get them fun and sexy things that no one else will get them.
