a little disappointed in MOH

a little disappointed in MOH

My MOH is great & I know I'm being a bit selfish here. My bridal party keeps asking what I want to do for my bachelorette party. I basically told them what I don't want & left the rest up to them. We decided that the Sat before my wedding (9/17) is the best weekend to do it. Well my MOH has a party for her aunt that same night & is not budging as far as working in the bach. party. So I ask about the weekend before & she also has plans. We are basically running out of weekends - nobody wants to do it Labor Day weekend which leaves just this weekend - ummmm too late I would think. And we cannot do a Fri night. So I'm a bit bummed & my SIL who is one of my bm feels that my MOH should be there & doesn't know what to do. I'm ready to just say f---- it, let's just not have it. Sorry, just needed to vent....

i don't blame you for being upset, i would be too! Can maybe one of you other girls talk to her and try and get it into her head that she should be there??? it might come out a little better if not from you...but i would emphasize the fact that this is upsetting you....im so sorry

I completely understand how you feel, i am ready to say F it to mine also.... I am sure if you had it w/o your MOH she would be upset that she missed it, but, at the same time, you cant put everyones life on hold for her schedule. I say have it, enjoy the time with your other BMs and once its scheduled maybe your MOH will change her mind

Uh yeah - know how you feel - my MOH is not even coming to mine - but i REALLY don't care -we are going to have a blast anyway! If uyour MOH chooses not to make it a priority, then that is her loss - my one piece of advice is, DON'T REVOLVE YOUR PLANS AROUND OTHER PEOPLE!
If it means enough to her she will come, if not, oh well

I totally understand where you're coming from. My matron of honor is AWESOME. Is hosting our bachelorette/girls weekend in D.C. However, my maid of honor has has so little to do with anything and makes comments that include phrases like 'all that wedding crap.' It can be very hurtful...

Just make sure you carve out time that YOU will enjoy!!!!

Definitely go ahead with your BP on the night that suits you and most of your BM's. Don't let your MOH spoil it

You are not being selfish at all. I think it's really wrong of her not to be able to rearrange her plans a little or leave her other party a little early.... This is an important thing! Do not, under any circumstances, f--k your party though. (That sounded weird ). Go on without her... I'm sure you still have a bunch of people who want to go and who want to celebrate with you. SO have fun!

Re: a little disappointed in MOH

i also had a hard time coordinating a bach party for both me and my fh. we're in chicago, most of our friends are here, but my sis (moh) is in ny along with some other friends. cousins are from oot as well.

so we decided to make ours a joint bachelor/bachelorette party and we're going out after our rehearsal dinner, which is on a friday nite. wedding is sunday afternoon.

what's wrong with labor day weekend? people are def. off and sun. nite would be perfect since noone's working mon.
