Gina- I agree that it isn't right to jump on someone just because they post positive comments. In a situation like yesterday's, it was pretty obvious that the vendor had been posing as a bride for months on this board. When someone mentioned it, I ended up going back and looking up some of the postings submitted by the names Susan, Hilary, Kisha, Barbara and they all appeared to be written by the same 'bride'. This person really played it up to sound like a bride and even asked for some advice in an attempt to sound more legit after someone questioned 'her'. The worst part about this is not that this vendor may get business based on their comments here but that we think we are giving advice & chatting with another bride. Real brides were taking the time to be helpful. I guess that is the thing you need to always beware of in any online forum. I can name at least 15-20 brides here that I know for a fact are truly real brides. There are a lot of sick people out there. Most are not as obvious as that 'guy' from last week. Take what you can from this board (there are a lot of positives) but do so with caution.
For example, I was accused as being a vendor posing as a bride -- just because I had something good to say about a vendor. Believe it or not, we brides have positive comments too. Sometimes a 'bride' whom you think is a vendor in disguise may truly be just a bride with a good thing to say.
