My wedding is June of 08 and i was a little anxious to order my dress. I went to Macy's bridal salon in Manhasset, found the dress of my dreams in April.........they ordered it......told me that since there were a few changes to be made to it, it would take a while to come in. So i ordered it on the spot. Well.........got a call yesterday that it is here. Now what? I am afraid to leave it there for about 9 months before i get a fitting. Did any of you take it home and bring it back for your first fitting? Will anything happen to it if I leave it there? Need some words of wisdom. Im a little nervous. Thanks again!

Leave it there, they keep it in fire proof refrigerators, its much safer there then at home, I left my dress at Macy's and is still There for over a year!

I think that you will be fine taking it home and then bringing it back for your fitting. I got my dress shortly after I became engaged and took it right home and I bringing with me for my first fitting.

I feel better knowing that my dress is at the bridal salon than at home.
I plan on picking mine up as late as possible.

I didn't know macy's have wedding dress, which stores and do they have them online so I can look at them?

i bought my dress a year before my wedding and left it at my bridal salon...it was fine and better than having it at my house with my Dh & 2 dogs!! They store dresses all the time...don't stress!!

I was a little bit nervous about leaving my dress at the bridal salon so I decided to take it back. I let them know that I'll be back for a first fitting 1 month before the wedding. Sure enough, they called me about 1 month before the wedding. I'm sure if you decide to leave your gown there, it'll be in perfect condition. It's whatever will ease your nerves. Hope that helps!

Macy's Bridal Salon in Manhasset carries just Demetrios dresses online. If you google Demetrios you will find the website.........write down some style #'s you like and bring it tthem. They were very helpful!
