A little overwhelmed

A little overwhelmed

I havent booked my RH yet...FH is amazing and he has been taking me to go look at all these different places! Its exciting but at the same time it can be disapointing. I feel like everything is just so expensive and no one is working with us. We are both students and working full time, saving for a house and living together in an apartment and now trying to have the wedding of my dreams...its all sooooooo overwhelming at times, I guess financially...I feel like just flying to vegas just the two of us and eloping! The only thing that truely matters to me in the end is my Rob!! I just wish things werent so damn pricey! SOrry i just needed to vent!

I know exactly how you feel. I can't imagine being able to afford a wedding. That's why I am trying to plan a 2009 wedding. You don't even know how much slack my friends give me for the 2009 wedding. I always say to them, 'You wanna pay for it?'.

Tell us what you're looking for and your per person budget. I'm sure we'll be able to help you...

If you haven't looked already and it's not too far, look at Sands in Long Beach. I saw the one in Lido Beach and it wasn't our style but you just can't beat the price! You get so much for so little!

$85 pp for a Sat night in June 08, 1 wedding at a time! We met with Ian, he was great!!

Same with Bridgeview Yacht Club in Long Beach - $95 pp for Sat night in June 08! It's so beautiful!!!

I'll bump the RH thread with price quotes for you!

There are RH's that are willing to work with you and many with lower prices. I've seen quite a few people post there prices and some were quite low...Also think about your guest list, maybe try to make it a bit smaller. Think of DIY projects you can do, and find ways to save money...you can do it and don't get discouraged.

Kristin I completely understand!! I've been engaged almost a year already!! Can you believe it! And we're not getting married October next year!! Just so that we would be able to pay for it. It's definately hard these days and I work part time!!

I think CLM is your best bet... you already love it and you're date is in the off-peak season so you're cutting costs right there.

Good luck!

Thank You so much!! I will definatly check sands out and even BYC...maybe they are even cheaper in the winter months! I guess you can say im looking for no more then 75pp including tax and grats and im soooo flexible any day or any month....we have about 160 people to invite and probably expecting 135 to show. That is after cutting down my list from 210 people...
