Maybe i am crazy, but i was engaged last November and my wedding is planned for next April. My aunt then got engaged in January and planned her wedding for this August. The only issue is, all of my relatives from Germany are going to her wedding in August. I doubt that any of them will come to my wedding.
I normally don't get very upset with this stuff, but i feel a little slighted. Am i over reacting? My family thinks i am making a big deal about nothing, but i am a bit hurt.

I agree I totally would be upset over this issue also. Did you talk to your aunt? Tell her how you are feeling?

I don't see why they wouldn't go to both...there's 7-8 months between the occasions. Do you know for sure that they won't come?

I would be upset, but we really cant control when people get married. I just hope that your family attends both!

don't be upset.. i'm sure your family will come to your wedding as well... there is a long enough time in between the two
.... now if she was getting married like a week or two before you THEN i would be upset.. but you can't control when people get married so try and make the best of it!!

i would be upset too! But its something that i dont think you would be able to control...just hope that with enough time your family will come out to both weddings!! People will save and plan...dont worry

we have a similar situation
me and fh got engaged in sept, wedding in nov 2010, fsil engaged in december, wedding in april 2010, so were only a fe wmonths apart and basically what we did was talked to fh's family n greece and some will go to her wedding and the others to ours, i would be upset if they just all went to hers, so i dont think your overreacting
