A lot of you 08ers are prob. looking to prep your skin for the wedding- here is a BIG tip!

I know a lot of you are probably going to get a series of facials or book one before your wedding and I'd like to highly recommend going to Clarins! They do the hands down best facials with the best long term results!

Here is why:
They don't do those harmful painful extractions or steam your face! First, they use only plant based products and they have this facial message technique- using only their hands.
I had a really bad black head problem on my nose. it looked like a strawberry, ok?!?! I happen to walk past a Clarins around 3 weeks before my weddding and they were giving away free mini facials. From my 1/2 mini facial, my face was glowing and it stayed healthy ever since. There is this product that i got a sample of called Huile Lotus for the face and i kid you not, my blackheads are practically gone.
The aestheticians strongly believe that extractions are very harmful for your skin, b/c the skin on your face is delicate and sensitive. you should never push or pop pimples or black heads- they only come back b/c your pores are still the same size. so this one mini facial eliminated my black heads and gave me flawless smooth glowing skin. and they dont believe in using those steam machines either. it's all a of series using their products and then gently wiping them away with warm damp towels and combining gentle face messages- it feels so good!!!

if there is any advice to take from an 07er, it's def. this! their products might be expensive but i would def. invest in the Huile Lotus Face treatment oil- u can even use it on oily skin too!
it eliminates black heads, pimples, and gives you nice supple smooth skin!

no problem! There is one on Madison, one on columbus ave and 71st on the west side. I went to the one by my job on Columbus which now has a mini spa room.

hey hunnybunny, i second your recommendation. I think i have the worlds most sensitive skin, i ended up in the HOSPITAL once after using Aveda, and have had serious reactions to all the other high end brands. i've used CLARINS exclusively for the past 10 years and I love everything they make. i also have facials with them about 6 times a year, and its the gentlest experience ever. They do pitch products, but i can take/leave whatever they're pushing, and usually just restock my basics when I go.
I went to the Bloomingdales'/59th street clarins counter for the 3 months prior to my wedding.
Skin feels GREAT and they loaded me up on new sample products in advance of the wedding too!!!

Thanks for the information!! I'm an SO anti-facials that this would be a great way to get something done. THankfully I do not have problem skin. I get a tiny pimple MAYBE twice a year....my skin normal...not oily or dry and I get a blackhead or two every six months. Maybe I'd try this just to see if my skin can be enhance further.

I'm soooooo jealous. My skin was never that bad (not as good as yours, but not that bad) and I swear to god the stress from being so close to the wedding has turned my skin into a DISASTER. I look like a 13 yr old.

you would have to go to a clarins skin spa. not the clarins counters at the mall- and some clarins store fronts are not equipped to do facials/messages.
i'd check out the link i posted above and call.

wow that is great skin! lucky!
but i would go b/c it left my skin so glowy and dewy all the way up to my wedding... like my skin looked so bright and healthy as if i showered with evian water.

and i find that makeup really gels nice with good healthy skin..

worth a shot.

yay!! great! i love spreading the news about a good thing!

not sure if they are doing free mini facials at the moment though. it was a freak accident. i went in on day to look for sunscreen and they were doing free mini facials.

i was sold!
