A Midsummer Night's Gathering in Western Nassau - POLL CLOSED!

I would love to have my fellow 06er's (including honorary 06er's) over for a late afternoon into evening (or all hours of the night) gab and food fest. July seems to be out for me due to mini-vacations and other sorts of family obligations. Ed and I are working on our 'deck' area and it should be ready to be used in about a week - complete with a grill, astro turf and a really cheap patio set. What more could you want? It is a renter's paradise!

Sooooooooooo, I offer the following two Saturday evenings for you in August.

Saturday, August 11 or

Saturday, August 18

Once there is a decent amount of responses, Ill close the poll and start taking a head count.

UPDATE - POLL CLOSED THE 11th IT IS!!!

Ok ladies, it has been over a week and it looks like the 11th has won out despite my paranoia about the voting being skewed. It looks like a bunch of the guys are ITCHING to come because of their passion for this thing we call LIW (see pin)

I just hope I don't get your thread pulled. And seriously, I need to start to gather some LIWers phone #s for the bris (it may be on a weekday but I still want people to know when and see if they can make it).

I say no men so it's an official GTG AND because I get so few moments without both my kids and DH. Sometimes you just need a break, no matter how cute they are.

No I have not set the date. I figured I would give the post a solid week before establishing a date. Then I will take a tally of who will come.

I have no issues having the guys there. Children are welcome too, but its up to the parents.

Is anyone opposed to a pot luck? I was thinking Id get a couple of heroes and I thought maybe people could bring salads or pastas or desserts.

I think either date would work well for me. I'll most likely be alone since DH will be home with the Little Man. When you know a date for sure, let me know!

Ok kids, its tied. I may have to be the tie-breaker as I celebrate the end of summer school on the 10th. Though I think the voting is skewed personally.

I was the one who put the vote in for the 11th that tied it. Turns out a friend's bachlorette party is the 18th- and since I really want to come hang with you & the rest of the girls I put in a vote!
