A friend of mine just looked at Land's End and fell in love with it. The problem is that they don't have any dates available. Does anyone know of any other places that are similiar? Any help would be greatly appreciated! TIA

Well there is the Sayville Country club right there...
And Timber Point in Great River which is on a golf course right on the Great South Bay. Its beautiful! Its a little further W of Sayville

Lombardis on the sound...its in port jeff (north shore) but has a similar feel

i chose lands end but it was a toss up between that and Chateau la mer. I loved both, but they arent really that similiar.. sorry im no help but i just wanted to let you know that 2 that i liked best.

Chateau le mer, venetian yacht club, riviera, captain bills, sayville country club, riverview, snapper inn, Sunset Harbor ( patchogue)
The north shore you can check out danfords, lombardis on the sound, three village inn
and of course where I got married....The historical thatched cottage!

I also chose Land's End but I also really liked the Vineyard Caterers. Similar gazeebo for the ceremony and a GREAT place for the cocktail hour. The reason we didnt' go with it is that we thought we'd have too many guests to fit comfortably. I recommend checking it out!

I highly recommend Crescent Beach Club. I am sorry you had horrible service. I have been treated amazingly since the first time I called.
It doesn't hurt to go see it.

I have to agree with Pipa... I had a bad experience w/ customer service when I went to Crescent with FH to see it, but rather than discredit their reputation based on what could have been a 'bad day', FM me if you want info on what happened (too long to post here).
Regardless, Crescent was BEAUTIFUL, if you want to get married on the beach it is THE place. I would be afraid of poor weather there because it's so beach-centric but if that's your kind of place Crescent is really nice. Congrats to the brides who are getting married there

Funny you say that! I was planning on looking at CBC. But, when I called to make an appointment, the girl was SO RUDE to me!! Her attitude was ridiculous - I hung up on her and scratched them right off the list!

i'm not a fan of CBC either... they were awful when i went to price it out... very unprofessional... i also went to land's end to potentially book our reception... it's a great place... you should check out the other places associated with them- flowerfield in st. james

I saw CBC and I wanst impressed either. The woman was really pushing us to put money down and I just wanted happy with them We went to Flowerfields too and LOVED it. Its not a beach theme its more garden but you still get the amazing food since they are the same catering and you get the AMAZING attmusphere. My friends weddign was at Lands End and it was just a beautiful wedding to attend. I would def have your friend look at Flowerfields. The people there were so nice too
