Did you have an actual food tasting in order to pick out the entrees you are going to be serving for dinner? Someone told me that you only get to taste the cocktail hour food at one of their showcases and dont actually get a formal food tasting for dinner entrees?

We had a formal tasting before we booked with them. It was private and we got to choose 4 or 5 dinners and an appetizer to taste.

I did not get a private tasting before I booked. The first time I tasted their food was at the showcase this past Feb. However, up in the office when we were making another payment, I asked about getting a private tasting and I was told that they could do that if we requested it. So next time FH is in NY, we're going to try the main dinner entrees.
FM longislandlibrarian. She had a private tasting and RAVED about how good it was!
