A question for the brides re: a very PG MOH...

My BFF asked me to be her MOH for a June wedding. I got PG 2 months ago and will be 8 months PG at the time of the wedding. I was waiting to tell her about being PG after I had my first Dr. appointment just to make sure everything was OK. (that is next week). But I went to try on the bridesmaids dress and it turns out that they can't turn this particular dress into a maternity dress. I could order a diff one from the same designer. The color is celedon (which is really pretty) but I don't think it is so great for a 8 month PG whale. (Can you imagine me trying to bend down to fix her dress at the alter ...I don't think all eyes would be on the bride)

So anyway...I told her I am PG and she is very understanding. She says I can do whatever I want. I can still be a co MOH and wear whatever I want and hide in the church. I can even go in the limo etc.

Just curious....do you guys think she is dissappointed or is she grateful to not have a big ole belly in satin celedon up at the alter?

Well it sounds like she still wants you to be part of the wedding by letting you know it's up to you, you can come in the limo, be co-MOH. It's nice cause it looks like she does want you to be a part of her big day, but at the same time do what makes you feel comfortable. It also seems as if your friend doesn't mind having a pregnant maid of honor or bridesmaid at all. If you think you can do it, I say try to go for it and still be in the wedding and get the celadon dress. I've seen tons of bridal party pics where there are pregnant bridesmaids, and they always look great - I never once thought OMG who wants a huge pregnant person in their bridal party, or hey they ruined the pics.

I think it's cool that your friend is leaving the choice up to you so that you'll feel comfortable. Also, in the end more people will be so much more focused on her rather than any of the bridemaids anyway, so I wouldn't worry about being in it and pregnant!!!

first, congrats Second, it sounds like she loves you and wants you to be near her (in a special way )on her wedding day in whatever way YOU feel comfortable.

and yes I think from what you said she was cool with it.. I think more importantly she was happy that you didnt back out all together and you are going to be there for her special day

I doubt she was disappointed. She gave you the option of still being in the wedding party and even to chose a different dress. Don't worry so much.

Congrats!!!!!!!!!!! It doesn't sound like she is disappointed at all.... I wouldn't worry about it- I think she is happy to have you a part of such a special day for her!
