Re: A questions about DVD's .....
From Consumer Reports: 'A step up from standard players are progressive-scan models, which now account for about half the models on the market. When connected to a regular TV, this type of player delivers the same high picture quality as a standard player. But when paired with a high-definition TV (HDTV), a progressive-scan player delivers a smoother, almost filmlike image--the next best thing to true HD. '

Valenia ... you are awesome, girl! Can you use it with a regular TV, tho?
I'm not planning on investing in a new one yet, but will probably have to sometime in the near future ... what w/ DH harping on the wide - screen TV as our next purchase!

Happy to help!!! So yes, you can use it with a regular TV, but you get no additional benefit -- so it only makes sense if its cheaper or you plan to upgrade your TV to HDTV in the next few years!
