Mishy626, congrats on booking Burtons. I booked them too. It was hard decision when it came too the Milleridge Florist and Burtons. I don't think you can go wrong either way.

Sassyz, I know it's old news by now but glad the move is over and done with. Oh, and the seating too. That's two huge pain in the neck things that are out of the way. Hope you're exhaling by now.

2003wedding, the card says:
'Adult reception of cocktails, dinner and dancing immediately following ceremony.' FH actually picked the cocktails, dinner.... part out. He thought it was cool sounding.

Jwalters, Thumbs-up for STRIKE LI, girlie! We visited and actually LOVED it. I'm dying to try out the go-karts! We decided to hold the RD (catered) at FH house. Then, head over to STRIKE afterward for a game of bowling and whatever else. I'll call tomorrow to see about reseving a lane.

Babyblu16, so glad you posted your card. It's so awesome! I'll be on the prowl for one of FH childhood pictures thanks to you.

September2003bride, any movement on the video? Don't worry keep pushing the nephew on videotape angle. He's bound to give in.

I just got my invites from Simply Elegant. They were very affordable and Gail was a pleasure to work with. My FH and I finally just finished registering, I am so relieved!!! We havent had so much fun with it .

2003wedding, I got your fm, thanks. You were very helpful. Sorry I didn't get back to you yet, I've been very busy the last few days. How is everything going with you? Anything new?

I think the guy at burton's said the flowers were ivory and blush? I may be wrong, but either way, I just love that bouquet. Once I saw it, I just fell in love with it. I'm really happy with my decision, Mike made it very easy and was very helpful.

So, anyone have any 'wedding plans' for the weekend? My goal this weekend is to buy my headpiece and veil. I'm starting at Tri-County flea market and if I have no luck there, I will make my way around the island I guess.

My new dilemma is this, maybe you have some advice. My dress is a ball gown style dress, and the bottom is pretty full, but still needs a slip underneath. I have a borrowed slip that is very full, which I think makes the dress too full. Do you think if I got an a line type slip, that it would look ok, or would it not look right? I thought if it just goes out at the bottom a bit, it will make the dress itself pouf out but not too much (I don't want the dress extremely poufy. Am I making a mistake if I buy something like that? (I hope you understand what I'm trying to say )

hi girls! thanks for the concern. he is okay thank god. They did an angeoplastie (sp??) & cleared the blockage. He know needs to change his diet completey & lower his stress level. we are just soooo thankful he is okay

Mishy about the dress dilemma isnt there crinoline that is just for the bottom that isnt so full. Maybe you can get something between what your dress is now and the really full crinoline. I dont think they are expensive at all. I am not sure how the a line one would work.

Hi girls! Hope you're all well and planning away. I haven't been on the board a lot lately and feel like I've missed so much and am totally out of the loop.

However, things are moving right along. This weekend we went to Fortunoff and purchased our wedding bands. I love them!

FH finally decided to get on the ball with his assigned project of burning 100+ cd's. He's halfway through.

I ordered my veil and tiarra. (I'll be picking it up on Friday.)
Also on Friday I have my hair trial.
This upcoming weekend I have my second fitting.

TO DO:
...The video search continues. We have another appointment tomorrow evening. (Cross your fingers)

Candle Favors must be wrapped and placecard tags attached.

Programs must be made and a ton of other stuff that I'm too tired to list.

I'll keep you'll posted.

Now, have any of you heard from Sassyz? I thought of her on her day.

Sept03bride: I thought FH's nephew was the RB in the wedding. I thought he was the little guy that the two of you like to watch on video. Maybe I misunderstood. Whoops.. Glad your dresses are in. So exciting!

I'm settling into married life just fine.. I have to scan some more pictures but I did have 2 that I had posted a while back.

The day was wonderful and i had the best time.
