A shout out to Wendy!

I wasn't around for a few days but I saw your Disney pics. Looks like you had a great trip! I hope you're feeling better, too!

I'm a vegetarian, but I can't help inserting a Homer Simpson moment here: 'Mmmmm... steaks!' *Drool.*

Sweetadeline, I'm sorry to hijack, but did you see 'The Life Aquatic'? Was it good?

I lurved it! The movie is a tough one to describe... if you liked Wes Anderson's other films (Rushmore, The Royal Tenenbaums, et cetera) you'll probably like this one as well. Same offbeat sense of humor. Same sorts of characters that are, by turns, inexplicably mean and then very loving to each other. The main difference between The Life Aquatic and the earlier movies is that L.A. has more of an 'adventure' element. There are pirates! And beluga whales! There may even be a few monkeys! And Bill Murray is FANTASTIC. I cried like a wee child at the last few scenes.

I really like his other films! Bottle Rocket made me fall in love with the Wilson Brothers!
Rushmore I have to see again, but Royal Tennenbaums killed me! Gene Hackman was so perfect in that!

I wanted to see L.A. but Mr Boots was turned of by Royal Tennenbaums and didn't want to see it in theatres. It's coming out on DVD and I going to rent it so thanks for the feedback!

Do see Rushmore again. That may be my favorite. Loved Gene Hackman and the Brothers Wilson, too. I've been waiting like a big Film Nerd for the Life Aquatic DVD release. Huzzah!

And now back to my regularly scheduled shout-out to Wendy!
