A spa newbie

A spa newbie

I am going with FH to the Spa for V-day... So he asked if we're supposed to bring 'swim trunks'...

Asked a coworker, and she says we'll have to be fully naked there...

Is this true? We'll be having a scrub, a massage and a facial, but I am not sure which portions of it will be in the same room...

I have never been to a spa before...

I usually lay there naked, I mean, they cover those parts, but if you feel more comfy wearing something during, then bring a change of underwear..

They'll give you a robe to walk around in and then when they start the massage they will walk out of the room until you get under the towel. Not sure about wheat happens with the scrub though. I've never had that. Sounds like a nice day you have planned.

I've been to a spa once and they give you a robe to wear and walk around in. I know some people wear a thong during the massage, but you are covered with a towel.

They will definitely give you a robe and some spas will give you a disposable thong during the scrub. They will cover you during the massage but if you're not comfortable wear a thong but no bra. Have fun - that sounds amazing!!!

Alina - that sounds so cool!!! Which spa are you going to? I want to do something like that with FH right before the wedding.

Karen, we're going to beauty and wellness day spa, mostly b/c we liked the package that they offered specifically to couples. It doesn't have any reviews on citysearch, but I figured its a good way to figure out what I like and dislike in one shot with dear Fi.

I went to Gurneys Inn Spa in November and I was naked under the towel. The girl who was doing my wrap help up the towel so she wouldnt see anything. They should be very professional about those things.

The therapists are really very good at 'draping' you - you'll be covered at all times. If you're more comfortable wearing underwear, wear looser ones that you'll be comfy in.
