A Tidbit of Advice....

..don't try moving during the holidays! We moved into our house last weekend and christmas is soon here and I am soo overwhelmed and no gifts have been bought and if it wasn't for the cable guy coming yesterday, forcing me to take a day off from work and being stuck in the house, I wrote out 20 christmas cards (there were 60 folks on the list) and got them mailed. We are still cleaning out the apartment and need to be out by Xmas eve and we are both working that day (and me in NYC)....we are both cranky and stressed and walking through a maze of boxes and the dogs, the dogs! They are being sooo good, but confused! I need an elf or a few elves to help me, either to shop for me, clean the old apartment for me or pack up the 2 clothes closets that are still not done....all by Friday morning!

Repeat after me, 'I will Not move during the holidays', again....'I will Not move during the holidays'....

And those 'FRIENDS' who say they will help you w/ whatever you need when you move, and family, are now all of a sudden 'BUSY'...UGHHHHHHH (yes, i am cranky!)...Thanks for letting me vent (a little bit).

Sorry you are having all these things happen at once!!

I TOTALLY Feel your pain! I too just closed on a condo a week and half ago, have to be out of my apartment by new Year's eve AND we haven't even gotten 50% of the packing done yet. We have been concentrating fixing up the new place totally forgot about the old place. YES everyone who says they will help has backed out or now is giving me a hard time about helping!

Ugh - I hated moving. I can sympathize - tho not during the holidays :) I hope it goes as smooth as possible for you!!

I think I have you all beat.. I am trying to move into our new house and am getting married in 13 days. Try to manage that one and work retail 14hr days durning christmas week. Yeah we are moving very slowly very very slowly.
