So... this is a spin off to an earlier question about veils and when to remove them. Anyone here not wearing a veil? We are not getting married at church, so I really don't want to wear a veil. What are some alternatives to the veil? I need some ideas.....Wearing my hair half down (I think)
TIA!

Re: A Veil or No Veil...Hmmmm
I'm not sure if I want to wear one yet...I think ultimately it is going to depend on my dress.

Re: A Veil or No Veil...Hmmmm
We're having an outdoor wedding ceremony...weather permitting, in the evening...and I want something classic...but not big on the veil idea...I don't have a dress yet...if I do wear one, its coming off immediately after (which is why I feel it is a waste of money)....Sigh.

My mom will throw a fit if I don't wear a veil and a blusher...I want to wear a veil for the ceremony, but as soon as it's over, I want that thing off my head!

I am wearing a veil but I'm not wearing a blusher (just don't think it would be me). You could try some really nice hair pieces like the combs or the flowers as an alternative.

Ahh! I was going to say the same thing! If you're asking my opinion, I think you should wear something. You only get to be a bride once, and ppl want to see something bridey.
i'll be wearing one, i just want the whole traditional bride effect!

No veil
Just a side note- was looking at my moms wedding pics the other day. She got married in 1961 and all her BM's wore veils too!! Like little cage veils I have looked at her pics many times before and never noticed that.
I'm doing a single layer veil -NO blusher. I think that's a good compromise.

I like the idea of the small veil. Thats something I haven't thought about though.

Re: A Veil or No Veil...Hmmmm
im not sure if im wearing one. only because the back of my dress has a cut out shape of a heart. and im not to sure if a veil will look right if it has to be that short.
