A Very Merry Unbirthday Theme

My sister wants to do this for her Sweet 16. I have been looking online for hours for ideas. So far, we decided on giant tea cup planters for the tables. She may also do cupcakes or cookie favors that say EAT ME. I have no clue what to do for invites. Can you ladies help me with the theme?

I really have no idea's (sorry) but I am reminded of Alice In Wonderland... Maybe you can steal something out of that movie... I would say, but I haven't seen that movie in like 10 yrs and I don't remember. Thats an awsome idea for a theme though!

Edit:

I did think of an idea.. If you are planning on having a cake, you could do one of those toppling over cakes.. IMO that would be pretty cool!

Yeah, that's where we are going with it. The problem is that either I am finding Disney themed things that are a little young for her or tea party theme, which is too old for her.

Hi!

I replied to you on the BHB board too..... for inspiration on decor and ideas, check out Alice's Teacup , a teahouse in the city with several locations. My friend had her bridal shower there last year. They're more classically oriented, with illustrations and themes that keep to the tradition of the Lewis Carroll book, so the ideas may seem more 'grownup' than the Disney cartoon.

Keep us updated! I love Alice in Wonderland and can't wait to see pics of your sister's party!!! What a great theme!!!

cookies frosted as playing cards

mushroom frosted cupcakes

pink flamingos and a croquet ball set

long table with large head chairs

singing / dancing flowers (i've seen them at hallmarks and cvs in the past)
