Although this is a LI weddings site, just wanted to share our experience at a friend's wedding at The Fountainhead in New Rochelle.
In a word: amazing! The food was DELICIOUS, the place was GORGEOUS, and the service was OUTSTANDING! My DH and I were never without a drink in hand (we didn't have to go up to the bar once!). We both had the chateau briand, which was cooked to order and was wonderful. Cocktail hour food was abundant and delicious.
The bride had high centerpieces with about 2 1/2 dozen roses each. At the end of the night, the staff wrapped about 7 roses each in tissue paper and raffia, and handed them out to guests as they left. It was so nice.
They also handed out lemon ices as you left which was an extra special treat!
They used the band Stolen Moments, a westchester based band which is one of the best bands I have ever heard. Another friend used them last year, and they were so good, that this friend actually switched her wedding date to book them (they were booked on her original date)...they sound like the actual bands and are quality performers, not just singers. I highly recommend them! I believe they are based in Dobbs Ferry, NY.
If you have chosen the Fountainhead, or are debating it, it is a wonderful decision!
Best of luck everyone!!

That sounds like a wonderful wedding. I remember seeing the Fountainhead in magazines and it looked really nice.

Re: A wedding review: The Fountainhead
I use to live in Westchester and I used Stolen Moments for my 1st wedding in 1997. They were absolutely amazing! There is no band like them and even to this date (6 years and a divorce later!) I still get comments about the band at my 1st wedding.
And for all those interested, they will travel to LI to do weddings. The name of the company is Al Scatt's and Stolen Moments is their signature band. They are in Dobbs Ferry, NY.

Re: A wedding review: The Fountainhead
I saw Stolen Moments at a Bridal Expo about 7 years ago, when my mom was remarrying. When I saw them, I said 'I have to have them when I get married.' I wish I could say we are having them, but unfortunately we can not afford them. They are truly amazing!
