i went to WCC's showcase last week and had a HORRIBLE experience with their valet parking. i absolutely refuse to use that same valet company at my wedding ... do you think i should find a diff valet company, or just not have valet at all?
personally, i hate valet ... i think most people do ... am i right?
ps: my BM was out of the office when i called, but i will be speaking with her about this tomorrow at some point.
Thanks

Re: a wedding without valet parking ...?
I think it depends on your guests/ location of parking to entrance. Do you have alot of older ppl? If you guests have to park their car in a parking lot 1/2 a mile away lol they are going to be talking about you lol but if its just right next door you can def get away w no valet! But see what happends when you talk to them and see if your comfortable!

personally, i like valet and would be a little taken back if i went to a wedding without valet, theres no way i want to look for parking and then walk all the way back in heels

lol that's a good point hahaha
for the most part, we only have about 5 'older' people (meaning older than 65 or so) ...
and the parking is right on the property so it's not a far walk at all.

if there is a lot to accomodate all your guests than thats definitely better than having to find parking on your own ya know... but if its in your budget i would definitely swing for the valet

I didn't use valet for my wedding and speaking personally I HATE when I go anywhere and have to valet my car....i just hate the whole process and would rather park my own car and not have it beat on by some teenager..LOL But just my opinion...I say save your money for something else.

for my hall, having a valet seems sorta pointless. There isn't much of a walk from the parking lot to the entrance. If you have a big RH with a big parking lot, maybe some of your guests might prefer valet.

My hall did not have valet it was totally fine, I think people would rather park their own car so they don't have to scramble for dollar bills @ the end of the night! After all they will be tipping the bar tenders...

I HATE HATE HATE valet parking... one of the many many things I loved about the Milleridge Cottage was that there was plenty of parking right near the wedding cottage itself so there was definitely no need to have a separate valet.

Re: a wedding without valet parking ...?
I parked my own car at the wcc showcase...but i had a hard time getting past the front because it looked like they lost some ones keys or something like that. It looked like a mess and it defiantly needs to be brought to there attention. There were people looking through the case of keys and that is a big no no.
I hate valet parking so I'd be thrilled if I went to a wedding w/o valet.

It's extra at my hall so I'm still up in the air about this as well.

Re: a wedding without valet parking ...?
depends on how far the parking is. Old people and girls in heels don't want to walk. Literally 100 people from my wedding are crashing at the hotel next store and will walk to it (or stumble) It's your call... Will it ruin your wedding?? No...
If I went to one with out one I would make FH drop me off at door then meet him.. heheh

Re: a wedding without valet parking ...?
I am not really a huge fan of valet parking, especially when there's a parking lot right outside and I can just get my car myself without having to tip someone and wait on line! I know that sounds cheap but I am just being honest!
