A Whole Bunch of Questions About Wedding Locations...
OK, so my fiance and I went to 8 more catering halls today. We really liked Woodbury CC & North Ritz.
Also, we checked out 3 places in New Rochelle today - Green Tree Country Club, VIP Country Club & Surf Club - Each of which is absolutely BREATHTAKING!! Has anyone been to these places or know anything about them? Also, Do you think New Rochelle is too far when most of our guests are from Queens and Nassau County?
Final question: Has anyone been to the following - we're thinking of checking them out next weekend: Marina Del Rey Bridgeview Yacht Club
Sorry for all the questions but I'm on such a high from all the running around today!
Thanks!

Re: A Whole Bunch of Questions About Wedding Locations...
Marina Del Ray is awesome. I was at a wedding there in October and it was by far the best food I have ever tasted and the wedding was sooo much fun but it was very very expensive. The only downfall is that the bathrooms were kind of far away from the main ballroom that we had overlooking the bridge and water and there was a bathroom matron selling chinese slippers for $5, I thought that it was weird to sell things in the bathroom that was shared between the 3 weddings that were going on. I love the Bridgeview because that is my RH. It is much less expensive but I think it is really pretty, only 1 wedding at a time, and from what I have heard the food is out of this world. I would recommend seeing all of the places you want to see. I visited about 15-17 RHs and Bridgeview was one I was going to skip just because I was getting frustrated but I ended up so happy and in love and the price was just right for our budget. You have two great choices. Good luck!

My friend just got married at the Surf Club on cinco de mayo and it was very nice. The view from the cocktail room was awesome. I'm from Queens and did not think that it was a long ride at all out to the RH.

When of my best friend's got married in New Rochelle. It was wonderful and not to far from Nassau (took about 30 -40 minutes to get there on a Saturday afternoon). My niece got married at the North Ritz and it was beautiful.

Believe me...I am from Westchester (FH from LI) New Rochelle is NOT far from LI and very close to Queens. People tend to think it is much further than it is because you cross the bridge...LOL, but i is not far at all.
You cant really go wrong with Marina del Rey or any of the RH in New Rochelle.

It actually pretty funny - my family thinks that Marina Del Rey is close but New Rochelle is far. Of all the RH's we've seen so far, the NEw Rochelle ones are by far the best - the only trouble is deciding which one we like best!

I personally didnt like Green Tree because they have a beach club and people were swimming in the pool outside while a wedding was going on. I am getting married at Surf Club. I just fell in love with it the minute I walked in. I also loved Marina Del Ray and Glen Island. Goodluck!!

I have been to a wedding at VIP CC and it was great (that was 4 years ago though). A friend was going to book NRC but do to a change of dates changed her venue. A friend also had a wedding at Marina Del Ray and it was wonderful as well. Both were to long ago for me to give specifics. Sorry if I made your decision harder!

North Ritz is beautiful. It was just a little more than we wanted to spend, and I really really fell in love with Milleridge.
My parents went to a wedding there, and they said it was amazing. Great food, and, they are REALLY hard to please when it comes to food.
