A word of advice to those of you when you have your shower.

Ladies, there is a lot of commotion when you are opening your gifts. If you get any cash or gift cards, I recommend putting them in your bag right away. My aunt gave cash as part of her gift and I was smart enought to do that, but I didn't with a gift card. My shower was two weeks ago and I still can't find a $100 Macys Gift card that I recieved from FH's step mom. She put it in a tiny bag with a card. I have her card, but I can't find the GC. I asked MOH to call the restaurant but MOH said she remembers putting the GC in one of the larger gift bags with another gift. I organized all my stuff but I am going to check again. Please keep your fingers crossed that I find it. Thanks.

Really good advice! Thanks! Nothing worse than losing a gift that someone was generous enough to give!!

I lost a Victoria's Secret giftcard once. I called them 'cause I had the receipt (FH had bought it) and they tracked it down and I was sent a new card ! So maybe you can have it replaced ?!?!

This is really great advice b/c when we bought our house, we received 2 gift cards totaling $1,000 from home depot (from FMIL) and FH LOST them!! He swears the cleaning lady stole them, but they've been missing for over a month now. I'm sick thinking about it!!

I had this happened to me last Christmas with a VS card as well. One of my TA's gave me VS gift card holder that only had the receipt showing the purchase for $50. I asked if perhaps the gc was mistakenly left out and when I was told no I called VS in RFM and explained the situation. They referred me to another # and within a week I was mailed another $50 VS gc.

Thank you for passing along this helpful advice.
I hope either your Macy's gc turns up or Macy's can replace it for you.

If you don't find the giftcard---check and see if she still has her reciept-- they will probably reissue it fr her.

its very true. My sister also aa BM is a control freak and so organized thank god i have her! LOL But I got cash and GC and she took them all and held them until all gifts were over and then put them away so we knew were they ALL were!!! Def put them in a safe place or w/ someone you can trust!

Hope you find that GC!!!

that stinks!

my BM's were on gift control... t hey took care of everything... as i unwrapped, they took care of all the gifts (wrote down who gave what and organized everythgin)

Nothing was missing!
