A word to the wise......PROOF READ YOUR INVITES CAREFULLY!

ESPECIALLY NRC BRIDES

Last night I was putting together my invitations and noticed that the reception hall address is different on the directions card and the reception card. First oops....and of course it was my fault because I didn't catch it before I approved it.

However I also noticed that North Ritz Club recently changed their address and it's wrong on Google....therefore, neither the direction card nor the reception card have the right address. They have changed their address completely! I check my old book that I got when I signed with them, and the address was 7150 Jericho Turnpike........I recently picked up their new book, and now it says 274 Jericho Turnpike!

So now I have to get 150 new reception and direction cards made up. Luckily the wonderful invite lady has offered to pay for the paper since she didn't notice the mistake either. But still, it's extra money that I wouldn't have had to spend if: A) I proof read carefully enough, and B) NRC didn't go changing their address

i just addressed and stuffed 170 of them last night..

Would it have been so difficult for the RH to send out a friendly e-mail or even snail mail to the people who are booked there spending eleventy billion dollars on their weddings to just let them know that their address has changed?!?!?!?!!!!?!?!?!

Sorry your going through that...glad you have come to a quick resolution and more importantly, noticed it before those babies were sent out!

The problem with 7150 is that the directions take you eastbound on Jericho tnpke instead of westbound off 135. So unless you changed that yourself on your proofs, it takes your guests the opposite direction. I had changed the directions because I knew this was wrong when FH and I first went to go see NRC and we followed the directions and ended up in Woodbury.

I first noticed my mistake when my direction card said 7150 but my reception card said 7125. Then I looked at the book that I just picked up on Friday and that says 274!

omg... at least you caught it though! it's funny you say that though bc when i was proofreading the direction cards I noticed that the directions (which were from google) were completely wrong, so I changed them.

so Woodlands brides - check on that too!

I used to work in Syosset, I was there for 11 months. In that 11 months, our address changed two time.

Sorry Laura! Have you tried contacting NRC and asking why they did not advise you of their address change? Thankfully SHE is helping on this.

oh no... Laura that scuks... but how could they change their address so drastically... i dont understand how thats possible...

i guess it could have been a lot worse thankfully she is willing to absorb some of the cost
