AARRRGGHHHH!!!

AARRRGGHHHH!!!

What is it with people who think it is ok to bring someone, when the invitation was addressed to only THEM?? I have a co-worker (who is a very sweet person) who sent back their response already. Today, she tells me that she may be bringing someone! I look at her with this astonished look on my face, and say, 'But your response is in, and it was adressed only to you.' She says, 'Oh, we can always squeeze another chair in.' WHAT??!!! Are you kidding me????!!!

That is crazy! And to think you even spoke to her about it. What do people think???? Sorry for your frustration.

I had a friend ask me if he could bring a date after the respones were already back. I know he is famous for saying yes for him and a date and not show up with one (and not put extra $$ in the card to cover the ghost date) and I told him no. We were at our max for the room that we had and there was no room for his so called date.

I would explain to her again, that you just don't have the room in the guest list for her to bring a date.

EEEW! That was SO gross of her to say!

I say, stand proud and say, 'No, WE cannot squeze in one more. If WE could, we would extend that space to a family member.'

Re: AARRRGGHHHH!!!

The same thing has been happening with me, people are adding on dates when they weren't invited with one. I'm not good with confrontation so I don't know of any nice way of handling this.
So I'm just adding them on to my list.

Amen to that..

My room limit is 70 people.. and every seat is taken, so don't be afraid to say no..

Re: AARRRGGHHHH!!!

People just crack me up. The invite had only HER name on it. WHy would she think it was ok to bring someone else, and to do so AFTER her response was in?? LOL. I told her this afternoon, that if I was short people at the end, that THEN she could bring someone, but until I tell her ok, there was only going to be HER seat at the table!

I don't understand where get off thinking they could bring a date if the invitation was only addressed to them. I think it's very rude. I got a response back the other day that said the person was bringing 8 people and only her & husband were invited. I was astonished!
