hi ladies. my fi and i realllly would like an all inclusive honeymoon. we would like 5-7 days ( more the merrier) he would also like to be near a golf course. ( doesnt matter..mexico or the carribean etc...)
here is the kicker. we are on a tight budget..yet at the same time we dont want to be stuck somewhere that seems budget( we have never been on a real vacation together) . our dream is to sit on the beach with blue water and loll around and be peaceful and happy. i guess as many newlyweds do.
would anyone be willing to share about how much their all inclusive is and where the are/or have gone?? if this is inappropriate please let me know.
thank you!! xo jenn

check out all inclusives in Mexico & Jamaica. they tend to be less expensive than some other Caribbean destinations.

We're doing an all-inclusive at Secrets in Punta Cana (although they have 2 locations in Mexico). We're paying $4000 total for 7 seven days. We went for an ocean view room w/ a swim-up suite, but if we went for a differenty type of room (they're all beautiful) we would have saved about $1000. An all-inclusive on a budget it totally do-able.

It does include air fare. When we put a deposit on the HM we had the option of getting the air fare then or waiting. We booked the air then b/c the price had went down a little bit - we booked in early August. The earlier you book the HM the more room choices you'll have. The air fare can probably wait until you're ready. But for us, it was more of a relief to know that we had our spots on the plane. And we did use a travel agent - Judy at Libery Travel on Sunrise Hwy in Massapequa. She's great.

We are doing Golden Crown Paradise Spa in Cancun. For 5 nights/6 days including airfare we are paying $2800. Its adults only and all-inclusive. I think cancun/riviera maya in Mexico tends to be a little cheaper than the rest of the caribbean. I don't think they have a golf course, but I know other hotels in Cancun do (but it might be pricey).
Also, I believe Breezes in the bahamas is affordable, and airfare down there is pretty cheap...
ETA: We used a travel agent, at Liberty travel. We also got direct flights and the best room level, if we didn't go direct and got a regular room, it would ahve been cheaper...

Right now we're debating on this as well.
We can get Secrets Excellence in Riviera Maya, Mexico for 8 days and 7 nights in a Excellence Club Ocean View Jr. Suite including airfare for about $4,000. (This is including a honeymoon package and direct flights) It was available through a few travel websites, including Orbitz.
Travel agents seem to be giving me much higher rates (as high as $600 higher) when I ask them for some reason!!

No, I don't know anyone who went there, but there are mostly good reviews on tripadvisor.com (another web site I am addicted to!). tripadvisor has reviews from real people, but take everything with a grain of salt, since all the hotels seem to have a few bad reviews

check out travelzoo.com,cheapcarribean.com,etc.. they run specials, I went to the DOminican Republic All inclusive 6 nights, including airfare was 599PP....It was actually a great place, good food, great weather. Just depends on your budget. I am staying at Sandals in Jamaica for my honeymoon, bc it's the ONE time I am not bargain hunting too much ( I have a bad habit of that). GOOD LUCK!
