If you are having a party and it's not formal, but you also don't want people showing up in shorts, what would you call it?

OMG..do NOT say casual attire!!! ahhh..big mistake..then you will definitely get shorts! semi-formal? I really don't know. Evening attire sounds good. But don't say casual!

Since when do people need to be told what to wear to a wedding? I haven't been to dozens of weddings, but at each one the worst I could say I saw was no tie. Who would show up in shorts?

I am not having a wedding. I am getting married one day and having a post wedding celebration at a house. I don't want jeans and sneakers, but it also is certainly not as formal as a wedding.
